The Big Show
From the time Doug & Danny Basham burst onto the SmackDown scene in May of 2003, they were inseparable.
Together, the Basham Brothers wreaked havoc on SmackDown for over two years. Separated from his brother thanks to the 2005
Draft Lottery, Doug Basham is now looking to make a name for himself out on his own.
Using torturous double team maneuvers, the Bashams won WWE Tag Team Championship gold on two separate
occasions. Of course, it didn’t hurt that they were able to trick their opponents and officials; their near-identical
phsyical resemblance allowed them to illegally switch places, always enabling a “fresh” partner to secure the
win for the team. The Basham Brothers' innovative yet dirty tactics caught the eye of John Bradshaw Layfield, and they would
go on to join JBL's Cabinet as co-Secretaries of Defense.
As time went on, JBL began to abuse the privilege of having Doug & Danny as his enforcers. Finally
reaching their breaking point, the Bashams quit the Cabinet in June 2005, leaving JBL high and dry in his time of need. Shortly
thereafter, Danny Basham was traded to RAW following the 2005 Draft Lottery, leaving Doug on his own on SmackDown.
Since the split, Doug has changed his image slightly, but still remains a tough customer. With several
wins on Velocity already under his belt, the sky is the limit for "The Bashman." Can he prove that he’s just as good
on his own as he was with Danny? Only time will tell.
